Developing an adiction

Postby Duckpoor on Thu Aug 20, 2009 1:00 pm

A few years ago I bought my first Lesser Canadas to haul around in the boat for the bank spread.
I add to the Hill spread every year and I just keep adding Lessers .

We don't have a lot of little geese here in Central Illinois mostly Big old over sized Honkers.
I always try to keep them ( the Lessers) segrated in their own area but I am getting enough that I think it may be time to just mix them and let it be.

Any thoughts from those that actually hunt little geese ?
Do big fulls work on them . Will a mix work ok ? Our big geese come to them Just fine when they are the only ones in play.

Curious what anyone thinks .

Trying to decide. Am I still learning or relearning what I already forgot?

we used to have about a dozen lesser mixed in with all our honkers and no problems. we were going to buy all lessers this year for the fact of size and money but we went with dakota decoys so we didn't have the option. honkers will work great into lessers I know guys who hunted honkers with DSD lessers and that was all they had and did great.
