well in the talk to the sponsor spot on this forum you can ask him questions. I will answer a few here for him but I am supposed to go to his place some time help him tune up a goose call so the answer to that is yes he will have on some day. He is just running out of his home so he is not mass distributing them as of now so he is just sending them out as they are ordered.

Ok! Thanks for getting back to me so fast. :) How long does it usually take to get a call out once it is ordered? Is there a time frame for the goose calls to come out? This fall, by chance?

thanks Tommy for the heads up...

honkernut... my calls blow pretty easy even the double reeds seem to blow easy... and I can cut the reeds to what your looking for... don't have any distributors because I make all my calls one at a time... totally custom to what the customer wants...

as far as time frame... well that depends on what materials that someone is looking for... for the most part I have all of them in stock but if you looking for a color of acrylic I don't carry or a type of wood then I will have some down time waiting on product... but for the stuff I have in stock it takes about a week to turn and finish a call and then a few days for shipping... and it all depends on how many orders I have... if I'm slammed I will tell the customer upfront but I also put my nose to the grind stone to crank out some calls and burn the midnight hour if I have too...

I will make very few calls during the months of Nov - Jan because of duck season but I will fire up the lathe the day after the season ends...

Honker calls...well I have made a few and got the look I want but I'm still playing with the bore designs to get the sound I want... and I'm still waiting on my gut order to be made... but I have about 6 sets of guts that I can work with... so I can make a honker call if someone really wanted one but I don't have any sound files of what I got... Need my Goose call tuner to come over and Cluck a few times on a video... but I hope to have them all figured out before Aug…

I will tell you they look good and sound good in person. The first time that I saw them was at the IWA show and they sounded good and even looked good. I think that I may even have me one of those before next season jake

thanks guys... I have changed my open water call Cold Snap... I have a Jig coming soon and this call well sound a whole lot better... I was using my timber jib but it was being opened up for volume but I felt was not easy to control and I didn't like the top end... But my new tone board is the cats meow but I don't have a sound file because the tone board is with the jig maker... so when i get it back I will post up a new sound file...

I am now makeing Honker calls...I beat the Aug deadline by a few days... :D right now I offer my honker calls with acylic stoppers... I do not feel the wood inserts offer a good back bone for guts and right now I want to stick with acrylic stoppers... down the road I will have gut seleves made out of alum so I can make all wood calls or stabilized stoppers to match the barrels...

the guts that I am using are are Flyway X guts... these guts are used by Fred Zink in the money maker and John Taylor with the Shore Thing... both calls have a proven track record and with John winner the champion of champions with them I think I have a safe bet they are good guts... I can set them up to your style of calling... and even can get comp style guts also if needed...

if you like what you see and want to talk more about them email me at fowlweathercustomcalls@yahoo.com or call me at 208-337-3319

thanks Jake
